Caleb's surgery update

Caleb is doing good from his surgery on Tuesday morning. It was about three hours long (we had thought it was going to be five). He then had a couple of hours in recovery. We took him home that night. He did wake up in pain a couple of times as the pain meds would wear off. We gave him more, but it took a good half-an-hour to kick in.

That’s certainly the worse time when you know your kid’s in a lot of pain, but there’s absolutely nothing you can do about it.

He’s doing pretty good today, but is going to need several days to fully recover. We’re going to the doctor’s office on Friday for a follow-up.

All in all, God has been very gracious to us.
